Cabin Experience

Spirit offers a single-class cabin across all its aircraft, but passengers can personalize their seat selection:

Seating Options:
  • Big Front Seats – Extra legroom, wider seats, and near the front of the plane. Upgrade fees range from $12 to $250, depending on the route.

  • Premium Seats – Located toward the middle of the cabin.

  • Standard Seats – Assigned during booking or selected for a small fee ($1–$50).

  • Seat selection is optional — you can let Spirit assign you one at no extra charge.

Onboard services include the option to purchase drinks, snacks, and light meals. There’s no in-flight entertainment system, keeping fares lower.

Baggage Policy

Carry-On

  • 1 personal item included (max size: 45 x 35 x 20 cm)

  • Carry-on bags can be added for a fee (max size: 56 x 46 x 25 cm)

Checked Baggage

  • Up to 5 checked bags allowed per passenger (with fees)

  • Standard limit: 40 lbs (18 kg) and 62 linear inches (L+W+H)

  • Oversize/Overweight charges apply:

    • 41–50 lbs: $35

    • 51–70 lbs: $60

    • 71–100 lbs: $100

    • Over 80 linear inches: $150

  • Bags over 100 lbs or 203 cm in size are not accepted.

Baggage fees are route-based and non-refundable. It’s best to add bags during booking for the lowest price.

Spirit allows check-in 24 hours to 60 minutes before flight departure:

  • Online: Via the website or mobile app (free)

  • Airport counter: Available, but may include a service fee

  • Self-service kiosks: At most departure airports
